Learning Specialists (NEALS)
NEALS is the largest professional organization for Learning Specialists in New England. We host biannual conferences at member schools to provide continuing education and networking opportunities. Please explore our site to find information about NEALS membership, upcoming meetings and news.
Since the first small group assembled at Hotchkiss School ten years ago to discuss the best practices for learning specialists in independent schools, our membership has grown exponentially, as has the number of schools which now offer some variety of academic support for their students.
Our Mission
The Northeast Association of Learning Specialists exists to
support Learning Specialists in the Northeast who serve students in grades K-13
in independent schools through networking and collaboration as well as the
development and sharing of appropriate resources for students, families, and
independent schools.
